‘Shooting Bob Marley is a hypnotic experience mostly because of the incredible rhythm of the music and partly due to the air you breathe! He was so laid-back, then he would just start bouncing, you couldn’t help but be happy. Beautiful music but a powerful lyric, a true artist.

 

Working on a very early Bob piece, a very large canvas, I found it difficult to pull it together and make it work. Eventually I took a razor blade and cut the canvas in two and created two separate pieces that were fabulous. It was an important lesson to me early on, do not compromise, take a risk and make it work!
